![]() ![]() I've got a couple hundred rounds through mine, it's not been an issue. You can't just re-dimple the barrel, as the one that doesn't line up is right at the edge of the SLR set screw. The rear set screw lined up, the front does not. The gun gets and stays wet for days on end. I don't see the point of a corrosion resistant gun with plain steel on it, that's me (edit: anymore plain steel than necessary, I get there are parts that aren't). ![]() Here is a Recon with SLR gas block and 9" hand guard: It has been a real problem for most of us to remove.Ī little heat with a propane torch on the back of the quad rail seemed to help loosen up whatever locking compound was used on mine. Never worked on an AR before, no issues at all swapping out the gas block and handguard with the SLR components, outside of the muzzle device that appears to be on way too tight. Only a few manufacturers making GII handguards, MI is another, Nordic's products fit as well. SLR has a couple of options for the handguards specifically for the GII. The products are excellent, the customer service matches.ĭPMS uses "odd' gas block set screw spacing, so you are either going to have to get a clamp on or pin one, unless one set screw lining up doesn't bother you.75" is the correct size. ![]()
